We are excited to welcome you and master teacher Deb Bryan to our Island House Studio for our Pink Circle Bauble Class on October 31 – November 1, 2026!  Come alone or come with friends for 2 days filled with, needlepoint, learning and laughs.  Deb will lead the weekend featuring her interpretation of Kelly Clark’s Pink Circle Ball canvas providing hands-on instruction as she guides us through learning the techniques that bring this fabulous canvas to life. Techniques include: Stumpwork; wrapping beads; several beading methods; trame, embellishment attachment, working with flower wire, decorative stitches, and more. You will be working with unique materials that Deb sources from around the world such as fettuccini, Painters Thread, ribbon, metal threads and beads.

When: Saturday October 31st 10 am – 4 pm || Sunday November 1st 10am – 1 pm

Where: In Person – Island House Needlepoint – 11 Day Street S. Norwalk, CT 06854

Class fee includes:

  • Saturday and Sunday classes lead by with Deb Bryan of Wooly Thread.
  • Comprehensive illustrated stitch guide, canvas, stretcher bars, threads, embellishments, and needles.
  • Lunch will be provided on Saturday.  Drinks and snacks will be available throughout the day on both Saturday & Sunday.

Supplies to bring: Your needlepoint tool kit (ex. Scissors, laying tool, bead mat, extra needles, etc.). We will be stitching on stretcher bars so please bring your stand if you choose to use one.  If you would like a light and/or magnification, please bring that as well.

About the instructor:

Deb Bryan holds a Certificate in Technical Hand Embroidery from the Royal School of Needlework (RSN) and is working toward her Diploma.  Deb also has a certificate as a Master Needlepointer from the American Needlepoint Guild.  For more than three decades, she has enhanced her expertise by participating in needlework classes led by both national and international instructors.  Her teaching style is fun and supportive, aimed at promoting enjoyment, relaxation, and learning through needlework.

Deb recently retired from a 30+ year career as project manager for fortune 500 companies, and now spends most of her time stitching, teaching and running her online needlework business Wooly Thread.  Deb’s commitment to needlework is evident, and she welcomes participants at any stage of their stitching journey.

Please note:

Class fees are non-refundable.  If you are not able to attend, you may choose to transfer your fee if you find a participant to come in your place.

Note this class does not include finishing of your stitched canvas.
