If you have been a “basket weaver” for years but are not confident going beyond, are a new needle pointer that has mastered Needlepoint 101, or are just looking to enjoy Tuesday evenings stitching with a great new group of friends then our intermediate class will be perfect for you!

JoAnn Gardella, owner of Island House Needlepoint, will be teaching her interpretation of Spring Flowers.  You will learn 10 new (manageable) stitches and 2 beading techniques.  Our exclusive spring flower canvas, on 13 mesh, was designed by Jinny McAuliffe of Stitch Style. The thread kit includes 12 different types of thread and one size bead.

When: Tuesday Evenings 6-8pm (4 weeks + bonus week)

Class fee ($225) includes: 10 hours of instruction

Materials fee: Canvas and thread kit costs are not included in the class fee.  A materials fee of $205 is due on first night of class.

Supplies to bring: 2 pairs 12″ stretcher bars, tacks for attaching canvas to bars, laying tool, bead minders, scissors.  If needed, all of these are available for purchase at Island House during the class.

Make your self comfortable: Please bring your needlepoint tool kit and stand if you choose to use one. For those coming after after a long day, feel free to grab your seat as early as 5pm with your dinner and beverage.

JoAnn Gardella, owner of Island House Needlepoint, has been an avid needlepointer for 35+ years. JoAnn loves teaching!  She is able to connect with all types of stitchers and thrives on building stitching confidence for all of her students.  Her style is fun and supportive, aiming to promote enjoyment, confidence and learning through needlepoint.

JoAnn is a master needlepoint finisher holding patents for her creative finishing techniques.
